Lakewood
Lodge was erected in 1962 and became the property of
the Performing Arts Council of the Free State in 1987, which
utilized the facility mostly to accommodate visiting artists
performing in the nearby Sand du Plessis Theatre.
In
1994 the International Performing Arts Trust of PACOFS became
the owner.In 1999, the trustees decided to modernize the interior
for utilization for all
members
of the public because of the ideal location of the Guesthouse.
